As part of our IT team, you will actively shape our hybrid system and network infrastructure – from concept and planning to implementation and continuous improvement. In this role, you will take on a central technical position as the go-to person for all infrastructure-related topics, especially around virtualization infrastructure and storage.

• Technical ownership of defined areas of our infrastructure: you decide how we build things – and ensure they run reliably

• Design and further development of our Linux-based server and platform landscape (on-premises and hybrid cloud)

• Build and maintain automation solutions using Ansible – you prefer automating tasks over repeating manual work

• Contribute to architectural decisions in the areas of virtualization (Proxmox VE), storage (Ceph), and networking

• Establish and continuously improve hardening, monitoring, and patch management concepts

• Close collaboration with our software development teams – you understand developers’ needs and build the platform their products run on

• Analyze and sustainably resolve complex incidents

Must-have requirements:

• Several years of experience in Linux server administration in complex, production environments (Red Hat, Debian, or Ubuntu – you’re familiar with all of them)

• Strong understanding of networking technologies: routing, firewalling, VPN, DNS

• Hands-on automation experience with Ansible and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)

• Experience with virtualization and storage (ideally Proxmox VE and/or Ceph)

• Experience in security / system hardening and stable operations processes

• Ability to clearly document and communicate technical concepts – in both German and English

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes)

• Experience in a role with technical ownership or responsibility
